Mercedes 🎸🥁🎤 Band At The Alma Hotel 🏩, Zikron Ya'akov - Part 1 The Hotel

Located in Zikron Ya'akov , on the Carmel ridge, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and the fields of Kibbutz Ma'agan Michael between it and the sea, is the *Alma" luxury hotel.

The building is clearly seen and stands out to the passengers who drive on the coastal road.

Designed by architect Yaakov Rechter, built by "Solel Boneh" company and considered one of the highest architectural standards in Israel.

In early 2006 he was sold to Lili Elstein, the widow of Yoel Moshe Elstein, one of the founders of "Teva" Pharmaceuticals.

Ms. Elstein planned to make extensive changes to the structure, including the demolition of a large part of it and replacing it with new construction, but withdrew from it, following intense opposition from residents and architects.

After that, work began to preserve and renovate the hotel, to make it a modern boutique hotel.

The works, designed by architects Amnon Rechter (the son of Yaakov Rechter), Rani Ziss, the interior designers United from London and Leah Meller, included the consolidation of every two rooms in the hotel into one more spacious room, turning the dining room into an art gallery and building an underground parking lot.

At the end of 2014, upon completion of the renovation, the Alma Hotel opened as a magnificent art center.

The hotel has two halls for concerts, recitals, theater and dance performances.

One includes 450 seats along with a pipe organ with 1414 nests which was specialy installed.

The second includes about 250 seats.

The gallery will include visual and plastic art, in which a permanent stage will be given to Israeli art.
