This happens to be one of the best seaports in the States. The port of Los Angeles is located at the San Pedro and Wilmington approximately 20 miles (32 km) south of the central business district of Los Angeles, California.
The port of Los Angeles which is also known as America's Port was opened on 9th December 1907.
The Port of Los Angeles is the busiest container port in the United States and together with the Port of Long Beach makes Southern California the largest gateway for United States imports and exports. The port's seven container terminals are served by BNSF Railway and Union Pacific Railroad. It is the primary destination for imports from Asia bound for the populous consumer markets of the Midwest.
