On The Mountain Pastures
This past fall I spend a couple of days in the mountains of western Slovenia.
Hiking and climbing are popular among tourists and they know also about another attraction.
Eco dairy products.
Local farmers still keep tradition and take their livestock on the green pastures high in the mountains.
Dairy products like cheese, ricotta, and butter are famous in this area.
I can assure you that first hand. I tasted them all.
The only thing I can't comprehend is that don't have a single photo of that delicious stuff.
How could I forget to take some photos?
But I did. It happens even to the best, hehe.
Here is the source of the milk.
I knew by this flower that we gonna have a nice sunny day.
In case it is closed you can expect rain.
In these stables, the farmers milk their cows.
Livestock at morning shift.
They pick only the best forage and you can definitely feel that when you taste the cheese.
Simple but effective promotion.
On my way back I find this beauty.
And a couple more. Just enough for a healthy meal. With some cheese for the side dish of course.
Or it is the opposite. Who cares?

Wow western Slovenia? Didn't know the even had much of dairy producing really, and that picture of mushroom is more than awesome, it's mushroom right? Wow, the shots are so sharp well-done
Its not a big industry but more boutique or artisan. And yes it is mushroom although still young. But these are the most delicious.
I understand as photos doesn't provide the taste ;)

It was a very interesting oldtimer walk, the places where they keep the traditions to pass the time despite the modernism of today, are the places where we leave the strees aside and we dedicate ourselves to feel nature in the most authentic way

She's a heard leader.
And when the weather is bad you can find them.
Okay but i have seen in my village people hang bell on cow's or bull's neck if they became danger for people and without reason harming people and crops field.
