Southern township in the Kommunasky District part of the city of Zaporozhye. Trip to Ukraine (2016)
Southern township it's village type district in the city of Zaporozhye. I found some photos from my last walk to these place in august 2016.
Here people live in private houses. Almost every house has a plot of land, most often 600 sq.m. This is enough for growing fruits and vegetables, as well as pets like chickens, rabbits, goats and pigs. Animals are grown to provide their (people of the district) families with fresh meat, eggs or milk. I grew up in these places, lived up to 20 years, until I left for Israel. Probably at first sight these untidy streets and old houses (most of the houses were built in 30-80s of XX century) looks like an awful place to live. But for me this is the best place in the world.
This is the house where I grew up. I lived here from 1.5 to 18 years old.
