• They have uneven ears which enhance their ability to pick up sound from greater distance and with greater precision.

• Owls do not have eyeballs. Instead, they have tubular binocular eyes which are perfectly adapted to seeing prey from very far away.

• Owls can rotate their heads almost 360 degrees. Actually, it's 270 degrees. Their bodies have a special blood chamber dedicated to their head when the rotation cuts off circulation.

• A group of owls is called a parliament. This was originally coined by C.S Lewis in the Chronicles of Narnia.
