Today my topic is about street, footpath and walkways and how they are incorporated with landscape. From the above picture you can guess some ideas. Let me tell you shortly... Different types of walkways and footpaths you can notice. For example, If you see SQUARE & AGORA or ARENAthe design pattern of walkways are totally different than normal pedestrian entry. For creating pattern, different types of materials and colors are used so that one can easily get a perfect direction of the destiny. Squares or monumental areas are one of the major part of the city.Will describe about them later. Now question is why these kind of pattern needed? Anyone can reach their destiny so easily by following the trail or pattern that's why pattern is needed. It's actually a guideline which is created for the tourist or passerby.
Trees are one of the important element for landscape. Infact it's needed for the division between streets and walkways. Let me tell you the major reason. The reason is it helps when accident happens. Like when any accident happens trees play a major role because they prevent vechiles to keep away from walkways and passerby. Also they play the role of Umbrella by giving passenger some shelter during sunny day and rainy season. Plus point is, they increase the beautification of the city.
Last but not least different elements and instruments are used for the beautification of streets and walkways. These are called "Urban Elements". Using of different products, planter-box, colors, sitting arrangements, trash boxes, lights, sign-boards all are included in urban elements sector. I have another blog about the details of Colors.
