Trekking at the Beach in Cepe-Venezuela Part I
First Part of the Walk
For the first part I explain a bit of how to get to this beautiful place, the truth is that Cepe is located on the coast of Aragua state at the foot of the Henry Pittier National Park, but it is impossible to reach this small town by road. has small special hotels for tourists wishing to spend a couple of days in this paradise, as I said it can not be reached by car, so it is necessary to take a boat that leaves the town of Puerto Colombia. More or less this is the route:
From Puerto Colombia you pass through Chuao and then you get to Cepe by the sea, they are approximately 30 minutes so I recommend a good sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses or some long-sleeved shirt to avoid burning too much with the sun. The people who take you are very kind and they tell you things along the way, they show places where they fish and common places where there are stones with special shapes or even religious images to which they pay tribute.
An example of this is the saint of the fishermen "San Juan" which they place on these rocks during the celebration of their day, it is a huge party where all the fishermen go to the sea with drums and celebrate their Saint, another image that remains in the rocks of the coasts of Aragua it is the one of the Virgin Maria, to which the majority of the Venezuelans render devotion to him, this image sometimes has offerings by requests that many people do to him, promises and even miracles.
The truth is that the whole route has great aspects of nature, rock formations, history, culture and spectacular colors full of life and make you feel happy, relaxed and eager to enjoy every minute.
Arriving in Cepe
After 30 minutes the boat stops and it's time to go down and enjoy what you want, either spend a quiet day on the beach or venture to trek through the mountains to reach spectacular viewpoints, the first few hours we decided to swim a little, and it is that these beaches are of blue and green colors where you find an incredible variety of fish and marine life without going so far, besides that its waters are extremely calm ideal for the family and the smallest.
Some people like me like adventure and discover a little more of the places you visit, so we decided to go up to a famous viewpoint of the place, I recommend again a lot of sunscreen, a little sporty clothes and if you can wear some sports boots much better because there are certain points of the route where you will find plants Xerofilas as small cactus and we do not want to hurt ourselves, to get to the viewpoint you walk about 10 minutes from the main beach until you reach the top, and the truth is that it is very much worth it, When you reach the top you see the whole beach, you see the spectacular colors of the sea and you feel the sea breeze that slides from the coast to the beautiful mountains of this incredible site.
A Spectacular Place!
Being at the top of this place is a unique feeling, you can feel the sea breeze, see the beautiful colors of the ocean, see little boats full of spectacular colors, a place that I really recommend 100% full of life, energy you feel that you renew seeing so many beautiful things! later in other post I tell you a little about the other side of the coast of this beach, it is called hidden harbor, for now we can only marvel at this magical sight:
