You have to lose yourself sometimes before you can find yourself

I've visited many beaches and many islands around Venezuela, but nothing compares to Cubagua Island. It has a magical vibe that surrounds you every moment you are there. During the day, you can enjoy its crystal water, warm sand and also you can fish something and eat the freshest fish and mussels that you can imagine. You can do snorkeling near the coast or, if you want, you can dive near a sunken ferry that hosts a large variety of marine animal.

You can also visit the Ruins of Nueva Cadiz, the first city in Latin America established by spanish people. The ruins have a mystical atmosphere that intensifies at night, when you can feel the energy of the villagers that lived and died there 500 years ago, when they were slaves of spaniards and were forced to dive to extract pearls for the Spanish Crown. Some campers say that they saw spirits around firepits and dogs dancing with the void. If you are brave enough, you can live that experience too.

Well, I have deviated a little bit. If you want to know more about Cubagua and its history, I will post about it soon with more photos and information.

Stay tuned and don't forget to follow.
