Ciao a tutti, popolo di steeam! Come state?

Oggi vi faccio vedere un bel pezzo di storia. Vi piacciono i castelli? Siete affascinati da statue imponenti, mura massicce e angeli che proteggono le città? Allora questo posto vi piacerà sicuramente, stiamo parlando di Castel Sant’Angelo: guardate che meraviglia
Il castello nasce come sepolcro dell’imperatore Adriano, sorge nel cuore della città, sulle rive del Tevere, ed è circondato, oltre che dal fiume, da giardini, piazze, e altri monumenti storici come San Pietro.
Simbolo della struttura è l’angelo che si trova in cima al castello. Dovete sapere che quello che vedete oggi è il quinto angelo che ha provato a difendere il mausoleo. Il primo era di legno, e finì distrutto dalla pioggia e dal vento. Il secondo era di marmo e morì durante un attacco alla città. Mi sembra che fosse il 1379, è passato tanto tempo. Anche il terzo era di marmo, ma con le ali in bronzo, e fu sconfitto da un fulmine che lo incenerì nel 1497, durante un temporale.
Poi ne arrivò uno d’oro, biondo come il Tevere, era molto simpatico. Purtroppo però venne utilizzato per fabbricare armi durante un altro attacco. Il quinto ed ultimo, che è quello che vedete ora, è interamente in bronzo, e mi protegge con le sue ali e la sua spada dal 1573.

Symbol of the structure is the angel located at the top of the castle. You must know that what you see today is the fifth angel who tried to defend the mausoleum. The first was made of wood, and it was destroyed by rain and wind. The second was of marble and died during an attack on the city. It seems to me that it was 1379, it's been a long time. The third was also of marble, but with bronze wings, and was defeated by a thunderbolt that burned it in 1497, during a storm. Then came one of gold, blond as the Tiber, it was very nice. Unfortunately, however, it was used to manufacture weapons during another attack. The fifth and last, which is what you see now, is entirely in bronze, and has protected me with its wings and its sword since 1573.
