International workers´ day in Gothenburg, May the first 2019
Första Långgatan in Gothenburg May the first!
It started with a walk at Andra Långgatan together with my friends. The demonstrants had already started to gather and they were busy to get their banderolles in order. After about 30 minutes they started their walk towards Gustav dolfs Torg through the town.
Andra Långgtan is the meetingpoint for the Leftwingparty and other branches on the political left. This day, the Left Party chairman Jonas Sjöstedt held his speech outside the politicians' stronghold on Gustaf Adolfs Torg. Jonas Sjöstedt is a very popular chairman and his party has increased greatly in number of members lately. Later on the news they said that over seven thousand audience had gathered to listen to what he had to say, to compare with the Social Democrats' eight hundred, wich is still the ruling party in Sweden. What would become of this!?
We did´nt follow the stream of demonstraitors because the sun was shining so nice, we decided to have a cup of coffe at Dirty Records café and there we remained talking until they closed at 4 pm this day of the workers.
