Down the hill on the other side of the walking trail was the power generator and a grassy hill. I liked this photo alot too, but I think the water shot just cant be beat.
As we progressed further on the path we came across a woody area.
There was a path going down the side of the reservoir but said for employees only. So we took the normal walking path instead.
We came across a gate that can be closed, probably for when there is flooding. It has a Stop sign on the front, which looked normal to us. But interestingly I could hardly see the text with my camera. haha.. I should have taken a reference photo but did not.
We were glad to enter the woods, as the walking path between where we parked and where we walked mostly was completely exposed to the sun.
I came across a vine growing up into the trees, made for a sweet shot.
We turned back before the end of the trail to see the other side of the walking path. The dam was located close to the parking lot so we checked it out before leaving.
I loved the shadows cast by the structure across the dam, all that concrete.
A little more of the dam in this shot, it was massive.
I want to come back when they open those flood doors when the reservoir gets too full, seeing that much water flow would be amazing.
