Helicopter Scenes

It was my lucky day that I wasn't the one flying today (even though the weather here was beautiful). My husband had to pack 4 jerry cans of avgas with him to get to his destination. While refueling on top of a mountain, he ended up getting an avgas bath (nasty). To make matters worse, the weather got very bad (hail, sleet, dense fog and the GPS was not working. It was a very nasty 9-hour flight.

But, I got some GREAT photos!!!!

And What About BOB?? Well, the neighbor's dogs decided Bob should bugger off, so I've lost my bear model for now.

Nice clouds up there!

You didn't take any photos of the hail and nastiness? Fog and no GPS sounds like the start of one of those "I survived" stories, like Gary Paulsen's Hatchet.

Avgas bath... ewww! That stuff can do some damage, with prolonged skin contact.

Nice photos, though! It looks all idyllic up there.

Lol, it's been really cold here lately, like 54 degrees. I really should start a series of how to survive in the shitty weather :)

54 degrees is perfect weather!! You are a Floridian...you'll toughen up ... where are you?

Those photos are gorgeous and almost worth the stinky avgas bath, maybe not ;)

I’m in Canada, North of Vancouver. Florida was where we had our houses (now sold) living here I think I may only ever have cold flashes :)

I love BC!!! My son lives there...in Squamish. We'll be visiting probably in the crappy winter - but I love it there....and yes it's great for hot flashes....but the humidity doesn't help. #askmehowiknow :)

OH! I hope you get to come in the better weather and I hope you get to visit Whistler, Victoria and Vancouver. What's the tag askmehowiknow? I clicked on it and I didn't get nothing??

lol...I always use that tag when I say something like knowing about hot flashes....it's just a "thing" I do :)

I've been to Whistler a number of times as well as Victoria. If my husband comes with me we won't do the ferry to Victoria - he and boats are not friends :) But for sure Whistler. Everytime we visit we visit there.
