Fire Breathing Sky Dragon Attacks South Florida! [Captured on Camera]

The "Sunshine State", not lately, it's more like the "Monsoon State".

Sure this is our rainy season and all, but the last 5 weeks have been overkill to say the least. We had almost 4 weeks of continuous rainy days last month in May, which gave way to about 4 or 5 days of Sun as we moved into June, and now we're back into a pattern of intense thunderstorms day after day.

On the bright side:
The lakes are full, the grass and trees are green, and almost every evening as the storms break up and the setting sun peaks through Mother Nature puts on a fantastic show for anyone who takes the time to notice it.

This was the incredible Sunset taking shape as we drove home yesterday. With the storms still rumbling behind us, the clouds were rolling and turning in front of us with intense shades of yellow, orange, pink, and purple.

As we passed the intersection the view opened up to reveal where the Sun was setting just behind the tree line. The lower level of clouds were pulling down from right to left and stretching out into a cool dagger-like shape that was silhouetted by the bright clouds behind it.

As we continued to drive the trees would intermittently block our view, but just as we came to a bend in the road we were able to catch a quick glimpse of the rapidly changing shape in the sky.

My son quickly shouted out, "Look, it looks like eyes Papa! Like a snake head with eyes".

As the road straightened out there is was...

" LOOK PAPA! It's the dragon from Harry Potter shooting fire out of it's mouth."

An angry fire breathing sky dragon had come down from the clouds and was attacking the town below.

The road turned again and the dragon, with smoke pouring from it's mouth, pulled away to right as we approached the bridge. "The Dragon is leaving Papa."

The attack was over.

A dark layer of cloud and smoke settled on the horizon. What was left of the town? Did our house survive the attack? We would soon find out as we neared the top of the bridge.

Remember to look up once in a while and enjoy the world around you. Mix in a little imagination and see what fantastic adventures are waiting for you.
