RX-0 Unicorn Gundam! One of Gundam’s most ambitious design. A mobile suit that gave every gundam fan shivers as it transforms from its Unicorn mode to Destroy mode.

Today we highlight one of my crew’s gunplay kit. The HG 1/144 scale HGUC RX-0 Gundam Unicorn. We’ll talk about some of its features and why you should add this one to your collection!

The first thing you’ll notice in this kit is the clear pink pieces, and how it fits well with the off-white plastic piece. The way they have designed the kit’s color separation surely resembles the awesome-ness of its anime counterpart. The marking stickers are minimal. And I suggest if you want to achieve the same look as the one seen on our photos, get yourself a 1/144 waterslide decals for the Gundam Unicorn. An additional cost, for an additional aesthetic boost!

The articulation is fine. But be mindful that due to some of the kits excessive detailing design, some range of movements might be hindered. This is most evident when you’re posing the kit with its shield.

Seam lines are located at the common places, and are not that bothersome should you wish to leave it uncorrected. The build process is fairly easy, but I won’t recommend this as your first gunpla kit.

Overall the kit is a must have for any Gundam Unicorn fan. The details are superb and the playability factor do not disappoint. It is a perfect mixture of a toy and model kit. It will leave a smile on both builders and toy collectors.

Currently there are a lot of kits that are similar to this one. Gundam Unicorn is one of the well-loved Gundam series, and Bandai really knows how to milk its cow.

Not to mention, this kit will skyrocket in sales (especially the RG version) as Sunrise is close to completing their fully transformable 1:1 scale statue of the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam. The colossal statue erects at the Gundam Front Tokyo, in Japan.
