Hello , Greetings everyone.

Sonar dome. Sonar means the short form of Sound navigation and ranging. The funny thing is that when I first saw the name I thought it was a dome made of gold (As it was written in Bengali, and in Bengali Sona means gold). But after reading the details I came to know about it. It is actually made of iron. Transducers are used to detect the presence of an object underwater. This gold dome is mainly used to protect the transducer. The transducer is placed inside the dome so that the transducer is not damaged in any way. It has been used in the Bangladesh Navy since 1976.
