This series are written by Cassandra Clare. She is one of the bestselling author of her novels on ShadowHunters. ShadowHunters are people with extraordinary capabilities and their main mission is to protect the world from Demon's who attack mundanes. Mundane's are normal people/humans ShadowHunters protect mundanes from demons. Demon's attack mundanes for their memories they love to eat memories of people. Demon comes from different demon-dimensions into our dimension. ShadowHunters cannot be seen by an ordinary mundane because they made some glamour. 

Their are also Vampires, Werewolves, Warlocks and Faeries....

Its a Wonderful series about a girl name Clary Fray who once saw a ShadowHunter named Jace. 

How can she saw him if she is an ordinary human as mundane?
