WILD FLOWER BLOOMS ON THE WEST COAST OF SOUTH AFRICA

in #photography7 years ago

Every year at around this time, the west coast of South Africa explodes into bloom in a spring flower display. It is absolutely spectacular. Here are a few pictures of our visits to the West Coast National Park, which is about a one hour drive up the coast from Cape Town.

Nice Pic & Nice Photography....

Oh yes!!! Nice!!! The only time of the year the fynbos looks pretty :D but Then it's the most amazing sight in Cape Town:):) It's simply spectacular:) Gg

Thanks...but I have to disagree about it being the only time of the year that the fynbos looks pretty.. The fynbos is full of surprises if you know where to look.

Lol, yes, sure. If you take a closer look I suppose. I was thinking more down the lines of driving past since I pretty much drive past fynbos daily :):) Point taken :)

Omg! Breathtaking, that's what I call a field of flowers!

Planning a visit to witness this absolutely spectacular sight of the Cape.

Thanks for the taster in advance, timing is the problem of actually seeing the flowers @whistlejacket

If you visit in late August, early September you should see flowers. However, this year visitors to the Namaqualand area in the northern Cape saw very few flowers because of the terrible drought we've had.
