This gorgeous jacket is very exquisite , there are the traditional Chinese jacket bought back from Hong Kong this jacket was bought for me(and my sister has one ) by my late grandad on his travel to Hong Kong 26 years ago to visit relatives .
Chinese embroidery has been around since the Neolithic age , with silk being a fine quality most embroidery is on silk.The earliest example found of silk embroidery was found in a tomb in Mashan ,age was between the 5th -3rd century BC.
Styles of embroidery - Su Xiu , there have elegant colours , patterns and great craftmanship. There art usually has flowers and animals.
Xiang Xiu there work has stark black , grey and white colours.
Yue Xiu/Guang Xiu, has symmetrical patterns and vibrant colours.
Shu Xiu, is the oldest style of embroidery there craftmanship is refined, and painstaking , this style usually adorns pillow cases , quilts , garments , shoes and painted screens.
