The Stardust was demolished shortly after this picture was taken (within about a year)...

This Siegfried and Roy act was discontinued a few months later due to the tiger attack on Roy. I took pictures of one of the tigers below. Not sure if this tiger was the culprit.

One of my friends was a floor manager at Cesar's Palace. He started out as a blackjack dealer. Good dealers can sometimes clear over $100K in tips annually, but it's a tough job that requires sharp and quick thinking.

Spent some time at the Mandalay Bay back in 2003 as well. It's the scene of the infamous shooting in Las Vegas Oct 3, 2017 that killed nearly 60 people and wounded 500.

A number of structures that are now landmarks didn't exist yet on this trip (such as the Trump Casino). One of the things that struck me about the area was the open porn everywhere littered on the street. They don't call it sin city for nothing...

Sort:

Visiting this city has to be one of the things on my bucket list.

Since I'm a big fan of Pawn Shop, I always wanted to visit Rick Harrison.

I love that guy.

Also, I would like to see those enormous casinos.

We don't have anything similar here in Croatia.

I can't even imagine how big that is.

And the thing you wrote about blackjack is really interesting.

That's a lot of money in tips.

But not everyone can do that job.

It requires lots of skill I assume.

Jack actually made less as a floor manager, but the job is a bit less stressful and supposedly a promotion up the ranks. It's very different than the eastern USA. Extremely vast landscapes make you feel like an ant. It's not unusual to be able to see 100 miles unobstructed in any direction.

enjoying weekend <3 beautiful photographs have fun
i just wanted to ask why it is called sin city?

Visit and you'll find out.

i can't because i don't have visa :p
