AFCON 2019: SUPER EAGLES OF NIGERIA READY TO TAKE ON THE BAFANA BAFANA OF SOUTH AFRICA TO FIGHT FOR ONE OF THE 4 SPOTS IN THE SEMIFINALS!!
The afcon 2019 has been ongoing for a while now and has enjoyed a lot of media and football lovers supports across the continent.
Today which is first match day for the competition quarterfinals stage will see 2 great teams that have played against each other in the qualifying stage, now fate has brought them together again.
Talking about the Nigeria and South Africa senior national teams.
The super eagles of Nigeria won first two matches of their group stage matches losing the 3rd match to the competition's first timer which made them finish second with 6points and played against the indomitable lions of Cameroon which are the defending champion, it was a fierce challenge but Nigeria won by 3 goals to 2.
On the other hand, the bafana bafana of South Africa didn't have a too good run in the group stage as they lost 2matches, winning just 1 which made them narrowly qualify as one of the best losers, they played against Egypt (the host nation) where they displayed high level of technicality and sportsmanship thereby winning Egypt by 1 goal towards the end of the match.
Both Nigeria and South Africa have played in the past several times with Nigeria winning 7 and South Africa winning 2.
Odion Ighalo of Nigeria is the highest goalscorer of the competition so far and he is a player to watch out for today as he is smoking hot.

Super eagles have the upper hand in today's tie but this is football and anything can happen but even with that, may the best team win today.

Also worthy to mention is that CAF has promised that the use of VAR would start in the quarterfinals.
Apart from the fact that Nigeria is my country which naturally makes it my preferred team in the tourney, they seem to be improving game by game and looking into the head-to-head history with the Bafana Bafana team, the super eagles have the upper hand. Soar Super Eagles!!!
VAR is not needed please, it is causing more heart breaks.
