The community rights movement has enacted local bans of harmful practices that federal regulations protect. Federal regulatory agencies are a deep state entity, it's a revolving door with the industries they regulate. It makes my stomach sick to hear people say shit like the EPA has a left agenda.
The deep state is absolutely a barrier to outside candidates to change things, but remember, if someone the ruling class doesn't like gets elected, after all the money spent against them, after all the voter purges, after all the voting machine hacks, then they just resort to tanking the stock market to show how bad socialism is. And they love when people don't vote
