The Little Housefly - A Poem
Flying in the harmattan wind
Thinks the world is a safe place
And will not listen to anyone's advice
Until she finds a dead body
Which she romances
And follows into the grave.

Summary
The poem above is based on the popular proverb that a housefly that does not listen to advice will follow the dead body into the grave.
The poem opens by introducing to us a seemingly jaunty housefly. We go on to learn that the housefly does not listen to advice because she thinks the world is a safe place. Consequently, the housefly finds a stinking corpse (and since she would not listen to anyone's advice) which she follows into the grave.
The poem above calls everyone's attention to the need to always listen to the advice of others, reflect upon them, and act on the wise ones. No man, of course, is an island of knowledge.
