Great image, which for me really starts to unpick the illusion of time generally, and of the moment in particular. Time is as we experience it - those epiphanic and perfectly still moments seem to stretch wide beyond the mere seconds they inhabit.

That moment before sleep too, barely conscious, when 'pseudo-dreams' start to play through the mind. It really is like transcending time in a way, when we are aware of ourselves but not in that physical, everyday sense.

'Rest restoring the untarnished' is one of those paradoxes that gets my mind whirring... a spiritual or psychological restoration perhaps. There's so much here to mull over, even for its relatively short length. So very well constructed!
