Require and Desire

There's something about you,
The way you smile, how the
Sun hits your eyes
That elicits a smile.
A butterfly's flutter one moment
And a hummingbird's next,
There's something i
Need off my chest.
It worries me slightly,
The emotions you elicit,
How it seems to be that
We happen to seek a
Similar sort of connection.
It requires a certain sort of
Attention, desiring
Conscious affection,
Exploration,
That I am so happy to give
And continue to receive
In ways unique to the man,
But man, oh, man,
As contentedness wells,
So too does the wonder,
One part of deserving,
And another of my capacity
To show up in the ways
You both deserve,
Require and desire.
