Something about grinding gravel
with back teeth will piss a man off,
as he tongues around words
that never bounce off
naturally from his lips.

Do not force him to do anything at this point.
Remember cheeks bleed when I love you
is stuck inside the throat weakly fluttering.
Have hope those words want to escape
and collide into the layers of your honey.

Oblivion is sweet. Watch him struggle
to say he is so sorry. Comfort him
as if you don't need to be held. 

Whisper into his ear, "There's an exit
mapped on the palm of my hand, brush
fingertips against each line, memorize
them. I don't want you getting lost
inside of me anymore."
