"Unknown Warmth"

—

Having never experienced warmth
She feels nothing but confusion
As such his mind is like a storm
When a person he never knew
Showed him kindness that shattered
The darkness covering his world

Unable to react, knowing not
What he should do nor what to say
Yet his hands are taken, those
Dirt covered hands of his
A smile was given, a smile brighter
Than the sun in the heat of day
