FADED DREAMS

Thenceforth we are friends
Inseparable as we are
Became lovers eventually
Making future dreams
Together we promised
Till death do us part
Yet fate was so unfair
Just like sand castles
Waves engulfed all plans
Hatred and bitterness
Is like a pink-tinged cloud
Spread thwart the shore
A heavy heart in my old bosom
Still carrying a torch for you
Cannot move forward
Full of envy seeing you
With a new-found love
I may seem so happy but
My heart still pining for you
