A lonely battered soul
Walking through the forest of pain
Battered, broken, tattered torn
The soul walks a desolate world looking forlorn

It walks dragging the pain of defeat behind
Understanding desolation like none of it's kind
It moves all around, crawls painfully around
Knowing fully well that all is behind

Although achievements come slowly to it
Failure, a stranger is it to him
The things it craves, sometimes, far away are they from him
And it's aspirations require hard work for closure.

At the end, fate's smile is the wait
But ever so slow is the wait...
The wait for fate to deliver on it's pregnant promises
The clock ticks and the soul waits.

The beginning of the darkness ever so bright
It's light now lost at the end of a bright tunnel
The beginning once more seems like and end
For even the stories of woe might have an end.

Quick analysis

This is just a reflection of how some people feel out of place in this world. The world has its ups and down and for those who truly want something so beautiful, they are patient enought to wait till the end.

Patience and genuine kindness are virtures required, loving others the way we love ourselves is also needed as the measure of love we give out is the same measure we truly feel for ourselves.
