PARALYZED MAN WALKS AGAIN WITH SPINE IMPLANT - Daily Spigot 11/2/18
A man that was paralyzed can now walk again, up to a half-mile at a time,
After having surgery to install implants, and maybe one day he will climb.
The implants donāt control movement, but work as an āamplifierā
For signals the body uses to walk, and helps to avoid their misfire.
They say itās far too expensive right now, for wide usage to be very feasible.
We hope costs will soon decrease, and help make more lives more pleasable.
The Ariana Grande/Pete Davidson breakup, seems to be in a new phase.
Things had looked to be going okay, for a period of several days,
Until Pete, in an SNL preview, proposed to this weekās featured singer
Maggie Rogers, who said no to his obvious, provokingly sarcastic zinger.
This didnāt sit well with Ariana, who got onto her twitter to tweet,
Words to Pete not intended to be, what one would call very sweet.
A āprofessional face readerā reports on a picture, of Khloe, Tristan and True
Posted on Instagram by Tristan, as the three got together for a few.
He said that the pic is āfull of dramaā, and her āsmirkā portends lack of hope.
Her eye and smile are clues, he suggests, their bondās on a descending slope.
Tristanās smile is phony, as he declares thereās no real joy expressed.
Even though the smiling was ābig,ā it was āfakedā or āforcedā at the best.
Mr. and Mrs. Bieber it seems, had a āhighly unusualā Halloween.
So says Cosmopolitan, ācause they didnāt dress up for the scene.
What they did instead of that, was head down the street to their church.
Itās āhighly unusualā to Hollywood press, for a couple to be on a search
For spiritual guidance in a church they attend, and of their own volition.
Hollywood folks, weād have to imagine, mostly choose satanic submission.

Scientists have found weāve 25 years left, ātil weāre done for, headlines blare.
We wondered if the article mentioned, that CO2 can be sucked from the air.
Or that Magnesite now is swiftly produced, drawing CO2 from air surrounding.
So we read it and found that it didnāt, which says a lot about views theyāre expounding.
The more that we read about carbon dioxide, and how itās a threat all around,
We still have to wonder whatās going on, when a solution to remove itās been found.
94 dollars per metric ton is the cost to extract it from the air.
Yet all anyone continues to do, is to argue about how it got there.
Scientists now can produce a mineral, that could end the global warming.
In nature it takes hundreds of thousands of years, for the mineral, Magnesiteās forming.
The scientistsā method takes 72 hours, for Magnesite to be produced.
So, will they do this or like Co2 extraction, see to it that theyāre never used?
The news, the news, there's so much in the news
The daily fabrications are so grand.
You likely won't be seeing much differing of views
Because they're all in lock step, understand?

Good to lead with the one story that is like scifi but not batshit like the rest :)
I love that the tech is getting there but we can be sure they are inflating the supposed costs by a factor of 1000 , oh the beautiful companies.
Thanks! I keep experimenting with finding the types of leads that draw more readers to peek inside. It's kind of a tricky, elusive conquest I'm on, but I'm seeing some progress slowly manifesting. And I really like the human interest stories and the hope they can bring to readers who might not see it otherwise.
I imagine the man-hours spent on developing the implants alone was very costly, but that cost should be absorbed fairly quickly. Hopefully they'll be able to get the sales price low enough that all of the paralyzed people that could be, and want to be helped, will be. But you're right - greed impetus by the sellers will likely hinder many from being financially able to get it for too long after it's first available.
