Frustrated, turning to self-destructive behavior, we cope
Lives are destroyed descending down this slippery slope

Often hidden in shadows it slips out of view
Under layers of struggle it's found in dark places
Riddled by coded messages impossible to comprehend
The truth about our struggle, the human condition
Is sought tirelessly by weathered old men
Why? We ask ourselves, are we here?
What is the meaning of life?
Muddled and clouded, it's horribly unclear.
