Hidden colour

Do you stand out amongst the other's, a pillar of light, or are you faceless, nameless distinguished only by the fact you are indistinguishable amongst the multitudes; Another grey-man brushing hurriedly by on the road of life. Caught up in falsity and oblivious to the colour lying beneath the surface of your bland uncaring façade, the mask of ego and hubris you wear so well.

It doesn't have to be that way. You are not detritus, life's cast-off, blown out of control by a cold wind down endless streets of concrete and misery. You have a choice and the choice is yours, always. Why don't you see that every colour and a colourful life lies somewhere within you if only you found the courage to look. Can you see? It's right there! Hidden only by the fallaciousness you've been fed; The reliance on the superficial, the counterfeit reality the world presents as value.

Like the flame starved of air you've become cold, an ember; Grey, ashen and cold but there's life in you yet, you just need to see it, to spark it.

You're the strong winds that blow across grassy plains, the diamond that glint's like snow in the sun. You're the Autumn leaves falling red, yellow, golden-brown and the soothing sounds that come with the rains. You're a million stars that light up your path and a thousand birds in flight wheeling as one. Every colour is within you, and can emerge when you choose, so take a look sometime, you may be amazed what you find and how brightly you shine.
