I took the photo on impulse
An instantaneous whim
I caught the girl mid-stroke
The shutter caught the glance
Of anger, fear, defence
Puzzlement in her stare
And wondered what it meant
Caught by that contraption
Frozen in the lens
She didn’t want her picture taken
It was almost an offence
