finding inspiration
amongst the difficult journeys
and impossible boulders

the paths that seemed blocked
by spirits more powerful than us.

by gods and goddesses
who seek nothing more than purification
by fire.

the quest is always struggle
it’s always difficult
it’s always rough,

but ease and flow
and the grace we hope
to embody,

can only be shown
when under fire.

how you navigate the challenge—
the endless rapids.
not the dreary streams
or cool rivers that stand still.

you are always forged
amongst the
raging winds
desert heat n’
endless storms.

do not seek
an easy life.
