Musings of a Sad Soul
I wrote a letter to myself
To remind me of all the times I cried
All the times I vowed never to let anyone in again
I wanted to let me know that I had broken the vow again
I wish I could just shut the door and turn of the switch
Then there would be no space for thoughts that lead to love
No compounds of emotiona to intrude my privacy
To bask and to glory in my assumed freedom
But freedom they say comes with a price
I don't know if I'm ready to pay for it
But I could give my life for it if I would not die
But if I happen to die let it be known that I tried
I'm not going to keep holding on
I'm gonna let go of everything I hold dear
So they may go around and come back to me
But if I loose it all then I never owned anything
I will take what life brings and give it what I have
But I will not let death come in when I'm not around
I will right my own will to myself
So that I can read it when I'm on the other side
