The body of the poet, and, crucially here, the body of the world they poeticise. I love the progression from anatomy, to soul, to the human embrace. It's fascinating seeing how your mind works. How you draw a mutual relationship from what, on the face of it, is a very one sided affair (the poet observing and reacting to a world which cannot reciprocate). I guess in classical terms this would be akin to 'invoking the muses', but it feels much fresher and more urgent than that. Excellent write.
