The Whole World
A son snuck up behind his mother,
so he could only hold her tight:
"You are my whole world, but I'd rather
with him spend all the day and night."
The woman froze remaining speechless,
She felt the tears brought to her eyes.
The core of what was said seemed reachless,
Revealing those deep-rooted ties
Between the boy and his stepfather,
Who showed up when the pain was sharp,
Has healed her wounds one after the other
By placing love and care atop.
Day after day that other man's face
Is evident in every smile
Of little boy, but there is no trace
Of jealousy that's cheap and vile.
He's gave her back the 'missing limb,' -
Her world revolves around him.
