we were not made for silly love songs and stargazing,

or for heart-shaped pendants and wedding rings,

we were not like the ones we see in the movies --

those perfect men and women with magical happy endings.

we were not made for candle-lit dinners over sweet melody,

or late-night giggles in the dark

we were not made for stupid poems and make-believes

i knew that all from the start...

i wasn't made for your excuses and dishonesty

i wasn't made for your tears and your smiles

i wasn't made for your endless apologies

i wasn't made to look into your eyes...

i wasn't made to believe in fairytales

i wasn't made to fall inlove

i wasn't made to chase little nightingales

i wasn't made to see the skies above.

you were not made to love me

you were not made to ease my pain

you were not made for emotions and sympathy

you were not made to dance in the rain

you were not made for old films and silence

you were not made for promises and romance

you were not made for butterflies and roses

you were not made to give me another chance.

we were not made for each other...
