Ships baying across a peaceful ocean
Love sails back to port of Palermo
His eyes close heavily with the notion
He sees her dancing and twirling about
Every night within his mind’s eye
Wisps of strawberry silk floating around her
Blowing him sweet kisses goodbye
Anticipation and excitement now builds
To feel her arms embrace him lovingly
Standing right there before him
Surrendering all to him so willingly
Vivid dreams of what could soon be
Ships sailing under the night skies
Everything that he cherishes and adores
Just to feel lost again within her eyes
She holds the single key to his heart
The one that opens that very door
To all that belongs in heaven up above
Imagining the beauty of their love once more
