Waiting - Poem
While she waited.
Mortals showed their mortality
While she waited.
Humans brought themselves to near extinction,
While she waited
She waited by the window,
Looking out into the empty driveway.
She waited by the seashore,
Watching the waves crashing.
She waited by the church,
Watching the bell toll.
She waited and waited,
She was never invited to heaven,
Neither was she sent to hell.
She stood waiting forever.
Very mystical and nice, I like it! Has a sort of feeling about the passing of time with no passing of emotions but I do have a sense this could be about an object of some kind.
Thank you!
