The Machines Have Won
I wake up to fog and rain
Dark and dreary
And possibly all in my head
Automatically
Without yet engaging my murky eyes
In one fluid movement
Scoop up my iPhone
Enter my passcode
Click the weather app
And strain through the blur
It says partially cloudy with a ZERO percent chance of rain
I Squint
Rub my eyes
Begin traipsing from window to window
Ear to glass
Eyes angling
Tipping on my toes and craning my neck
How can I harmonize this dissonance of information?
I thot you were going to say it wasn't raining outside, but your eyes were raining. I'm so cliched.
I love the layers you use or edits on your photos.....they look dreamy.
Here’s the funny part: two days prior, I also heard it raining. But it look rainy. Nor was it in the forecast. I did the same dance...only to discover it was somebody in the next building watering a garden or filling the pool.
The universe is trying to punk me. 🤪
This particular image definitely has some filtering and enhancement. But surprisingly less than you migh think. It was an intensely foggy night...which makes for some seriously dreamy, surreal photography.
I love it regardless. You have a style that's all yours and I like it.
