Nostalgia At Sunset (A Poem)

Watching the sitting sun
Emotions starts to swell
Looking at the red sky
Tears starts to fall
A man in his twilight years
Remembering years long gone
The laughter of his friends
And sweet smile of love
Memories of his prime
So clear like it was yesterday
Yet that is all there is
Just mere memories
Memories of the past
That will never return
The nostalgia at sunset
And so with a long sigh
He watches as the red sun
Is slowly swallowed by darkness
