Mondays are the begining of a new week.And it marks the begining of my african poems stories which is set to depicit true african stories in poetic writtings.
Introduction of Today's poetic story "Voice of Elixir"
Elixir,in suggesting a cure,is of the opinion that the main trouble with Africa is ignorance,and that only the utilitarian pursuit of knowledge,even against the people's preference for stagnation or path.Knowledge herself boasts of possessing the right answers to the continent's problems,and that hope is not lost,provided she is accorded friendship that will pave the way for connubial union..jpeg)

Elixir
To whom
Shall i send my child?
to whom
shall i send my sick child
for a cure?
Surely
not to him
who creates problems
just to solve problems
to make a name
Nor to him
who leads men to slavery
in the midst of plenty
who fetches tears with idleness
instead of earning smiles with labour.
I will not send my child to him
who leads men outside their homes
in search of fulfillments
though he know
that the true man lies within
I will rather send my child
to her
whom wise fathers send their children,
to the lady of the precious name
who builds individuals and nations
and who frees the prisoners
and enriches the willing poor
My child
will go to the great lady
the only road to wealth,joy and God
a great voice pleading aloud
calling mankind home
to peace and harmony....
I will send my child to Lady Knowledge.
