everything is melting far, far away

everything is melting far, far away
everything that wasn't mean to stay
let them flow down without much effort,
no need for them to curse your name
give them a way around the sharper rocks,
to live as memories in the river's heart
but leave them there to tend themselves
pride toughened by the wild river swells
heavy downstream as you make light ascent
