The Candy Coloured Mire

I listened to my heart,
It seemed to challenge my head.
I felt a sensation all through my body,
For if it could speak - this is what it said:
Maybe it's time to drink the wine,
Maybe it's time to swim the channels.
Maybe it's time to sink to the very crevaces,
Maybe it's time to take the plunge.
Pull out the stopper in your heart,
Unwrap the ribbons around your soul.
Step out of these clothes to reveal the stories beneath,
Push back the covers over your eyes to reveal a brighter life.
Maybe it's time to break these chains,
Maybe it's time to listen to what's inside.
Maybe it's time to trust in one's will,
Maybe it's time to reveal the soul you've been trying to hide.
Follow the music in your heart,
Embrace the rays of this brand new day.
Fall into the oceans of change & just follow the current,
Turn off this maddening doubt - enjoy the scenary of peace.
Without definition we uncover what we wouldnt say,
Raw colours shine between each touch.
White noise surrounding the interior of our experiences,
Maybe it's time to take a chance.
I travelled the candy coloured mire,
In search of answers yet to find.
Caught between what could be and what is now,
Almost instantaneously this I realised - I'm lost inside my mind.
So I leapt from the cliffs...
And soared.
If I do anything incorrect it's because I am very new to Steemit. I'm here to make some friends and hopefully share some of my writing and artwork. Sometimes I have help with my blogs but I'll try to post on my own and perhaps mistakes will be made. So please try to help me understand and grow and be patient with me because I'm trying and want to connect with like-minded people and have a good time on Steemit.
WAIT!!!...did you attach your parachute? Oh, it's a metaphorical leap...ok, scared me for a second. Really beautifully written. This gives hope to those looking for a new lease on life.
Didn't you know that parachute-less base jumping is the new adrenaline craze?
This poem is all about embracing challenges, and going all in when your brain is telling you to back out.
For me, half of the adventure is exploring unchartered places simply because others are too afraid to.
Half? For me, it's more like 90%...or maybe everything.
That's the sole reason behind my entire life really :)

Thanks. Sometimes it's hard to convey the way I see life and its happenings, so I just close my eyes and the picture unravels itself. The photo at the bottom depicts the landscape I was referring to in the poem.
