Illumination

i am stardust
the stuff between galaxies
a collection of energies
unformed
glittering across the uncharted sky
with no gravity to chain me
to a dead rock
hurtling through space and time
on a crash course toward
a burning orb of flame
unfettered senses seek my majesty
build altars of awe to my illustriousness
and scheme to a own a piece
of my allure
i am gemstones
conceived underground
under pressure
and harvested
to adorn the crowns
lid upon the heads of greed
i am the fire
that burns and purifies
that warms and destroys
that man has weaponized
and silently withholds
because my blaze is too bright to control
