Siren Song
it called for me
sent a buzz through my blood
and i vibrated on a plane
higher than before
the last time i felt this
i cried
i sat
on the crumbling roof
and considered myself
grounded
while my legs dangled
precariously
over the edge
and the wood beneath me creaked
the heavens shed their tears on me
and i parted my lips to receive
the blessing
of salt and ash
