Healing Soul #Poetry
I bled in silence
Burying every caress
Deep in the woods of forgotten
Every kiss I ever gotten
From those lying lips
Sank like wrecked ships
To bottomless ocean floors.
I felt alone
Forsaken and on my own
Wading through the heartbreaks
The how my soul came to ache
Determined to crossover
Even as the pain hovered
Shrouding my way out.
I braved the cold nights
Revisited the endless cold fights
Looking to find my faults
To liberate those unsaid thoughts
Healing demanded for change
It really felt strange
Walking into the unknown page.
I noticed my glowing moonlight
Dim it's romanticised light
The urge to reignite it
Tagged my shredded heart
Like a blind bat
For I can't seem to escape
This love landscape.
I managed the bleeds
As the fear of falling freed
The freedom to love another
Spread like a wild fire
To free me from the shackles
Expedite the tackles
That left me defiantly unloved.

Wonderful poem @tezmel. I think you have the right idea about discovering more about yourself. As we become more familiar and comfortable with ourselves, we start to attract similar people. Hopefully no one has done too much to make you too wary.

Opening up for strangers and new people in our lives is always something that is incredibly difficult to do... in fact, I think I've only really ever done it for one person ever! It's a struggle for everyone... but sometimes it is a good idea to keep to yourself for a bit... to regain strength and trust in yourself!
