Out here in these hills
I wander alone
These trees are my shelter
This forest my home

Morning sunlight
Making it's way
through the trees
Cursed with another day

The loss of your love
Made me the recluse I am
Unable to hide the pain
My eyes a failing dam

Friends say they understand
That it's for the best
You were my savior
My bulletproof vest

You're long gone
Lost amongst the trees
So I'll keep searching
Til winter brings the freeze
