Taxi Mom
I am a mother of teens and a pre-teen and most certainly that makes me a Taxi Mom. Long gone are the days when my kids only go where I go. It can certainly get annoying, but they are my kids and I love them and so, a taxi I will be.
I am a taxi driving around,
Driving my kids all over town.
Mom take me here, mom take me there,
Never ever a moment to spare.
One needs a ride to the school every morning,
Seven AM comes with so little warning.
The other has places that she needs to go
After a long day at work don’tcha know.
But I can’t deny their puppy dog eyes.
The tone of their voice makes me realize
That I will succumb one way or another
‘Cause I’m not just a taxi, I am also their mother.
