I can add: never bluff a calling station, a passive opponent that always want to see the flop / go to showdown (there are many at lower stakes).
If they have a draw they will never ever fold it until the river, so you can make huge value bets, but better give up if you have air...
That doesn't mean is wrong to throw a cbet on a dry flop against calling stations, I'm just talking about big bluffs.

Yeah that's a good point! Big value bets are effective vs. calling stations. You can still bluff vs. them, but it's better to semi-bluff, so if they do call you can turn or river a flush/straight. Over-bets can be handy too if balanced correctly.
